Head of HR
Underpinning all business functions with her vast knowledge and expertise, Natalie is a senior HR professional who is passionate about making Checkmate a great place to work. Approachable and professional, Natalie is CIPD qualified, with unrivalled enthusiasm for her key role, which is strategic and commercially focused, and perhaps most importantly; creative.
Beginning her career in nursing, Natalie rapidly realised her empathetic preference was in a more corporate setting – and she has since taken Checkmate from strength to strength. Having previously worked for quality accredited companies within the manufacturing and construction industries, she is now solely responsible for Checkmate’s central HR function, delivering excellence in employee engagement, staff retention, and all things in-between. This occasionally includes resourcing, fleet management, marketing, and late night quizzes with a glass (or two) of wine.
Natalie ensures we attract, develop and retain the right people and skills, in conjunction with our company values, creating and maintaining our vibrant culture and enabling our people to thrive and flourish!
Fun fact…
Destined to rub shoulders with the elite, Natalie once cooked dinner for Keith Flint's dad...she’s also distantly related to Matthew Wolfenden from Emmerdale… she’s basically a celeb.
