Committed to innovation, along with the development of our trainee engineers, we began the conversion of an unused mezzanine space into a training area in one of our stores earlier this week!
Working together to utilise more space, a group of our engineers and Checkmate’s technical compliance department teamed up to clear out the unwanted clutter and build a wall that runs across the top floor.
As a result, we have been able to create a facility where our operatives can undertake scenario-based work, fit/remediate fire doors, and build fire stopping solutions in an interactive (and socially distanced) manner!
As a huge part of our Checkmate Academy initiative, we're looking forward to how this develops!
