The role is to join an expanding maintenance team of field engineers based in and around Central London

This role will be working on a variety of prestigious commercial contracts based in Central London and surrounding counties.

The duties will include installation of fire stopping to achieve compliance with building regulations. Standard hours per week Monday-Friday 8:00 - 4:00 with overtime available.

    Carpentry- Sub-contractors

    Checkmate Fire Solutions are currently recruiting Carpentry Sub-Contractors to join an expanding maintenance team of field engineers based in and around Central London.

    This role will be working on a variety of prestigious commercial contracts based in Central London and surrounding counties.

    The duties will include installation of fire door sets and maintenance of existing fire doors to achieve compliance with building regulations. Standard hours per week Monday-Friday 8:00 - 4:00 with overtime available.

      Passive Fire Protection Surveyors - Full Time

      The role is to join an expanding maintenance team of field engineers based in and around Central London

      The role will initially be on a on a self-employed basis with the potential for employment in the future. Day rate is negotiable dependent of previous experience and with how much of the criteria is being met below. We are looking for a candidate to carry out passive fire inspections within various building environments. The successful candidate will be offered tutoring and training in the applicable regulations and legislations. They will receive onsite training in the process and techniques of inspection. This knowledge will be used to determine the current condition of the passive fire protection elements of both fire doors and fire stopping. The information collected will then be used to generate a comprehensive written report.

      The candidate will be someone who works well both individually and in a team environment. To be professional when dealing with clients both on and off site. To be able to use your initiative to further develop your technical knowledge of fire stopping and fire doors products to specify solutions to ensure continual compliance.

      The duties will include installation of fire stopping to achieve compliance with building regulations. Standard hours per week Monday-Friday 8:00 - 4:00 with overtime available.

      Applicants must have:

      1. Essential: A basic understanding of Microsoft Excel and Word.
      2. Essential: Good organisational skills with dealing with multiple projects simultaneously. Presentation skills in delivering return documentation in a clear and logical manner.
      3. Essential: Full UK Driving License.
      4. Preferred: A good knowledge of PDF software.
      5. Preferred: Previous experience within passive fire protection or quantity surveying industry a major advantage.
      6. Preferred: Basic knowledge of CAD an additional plus but not essential.
